Location
The hotel Villa Meligunis is located in the historical centre of Lipari, over 11.000 inhabitants in the Aeolian Islands in the province of Messina, in the picturesque fishing district, surrounded by typical alleys and squares.
How to reach the hotel: Fontanarossa Catania, Palermo Punta Raisi, Trapani and Reggio Calabria are the nearest airports to the Aeolian Islands. The Aeolian islands are connected to the mainland through the ports of Milazzo, Messina, Palermo and Naples. By Sea: The Aeolian Islands can be easily reached by hydrofoil or ferry from the port of Milazzo, Messina, Reggio Calabria, Palermo and Naples (www.siremar.it or www.usticalines.it). Milazzo is the nearest port and offers a departure every hour. Cars and motorbikes can be embark only from the port of Milazzo and Naples.
The last departure time to Milazzo is at 21:00 by NGI. Naples is the closest port for those who come from North and Central Italy. From Naples, in the summer, there are two daily hydrofoils and 2 ferries per week.
The hotel, just a few steps from the romantic Marina Corta square, is the result of a wise and careful renovation of an elegant eighteenth-century residence.
During the months of July and August cars cannot move freely through the island without special authorization of the municipality. Customers who wish to use the car must indicate this at the time of booking in order to ask for permits.

The hotel Villa Meligunis has 43 rooms, some with sea view and/or terrace, equipped with all the modern comforts: air conditioning/heating, safety boxe, Wi-Fi connection, satellite TV, frigo bar, hairdryer, courtesy set Third and fourth bed are available upon request.
Restaurant
The restaurant offers a typical cuisine of Sicily and Sicilian islands. It is located on the beautiful terrace offering a nice view over the sea and hills, as well as over the ancient and mighty castle. The breakfast is buffet and the dinner with choice of a day menu.
Services & Activities
The 24 hours opened reception, will be happy to organize nature and historical tours for its guests. A shuttle bus connects the hotel to Canneto beach (in summer), which is located at 4 km from centre of Lipari; here guests can rent chairs and umbrellas; during the summer they can also enjoy the outdoor pool.
Villa Meligunis is also a location for meetings. It disposes of a 150 square meters meeting room equipped with air conditioning and private entrance, which can accommodate from 150 to 200 people.
Complimentary hotel services are bath towels for the pool, Wi-Fi connection, transfer from port to the hotel and vice versa, shuttle to the Canneto beach at fixed times from mid-June to mid-September. Upon request are available following services with surcharge: baby sitting, diving centre arrangements, bicycles rental, massages in the room.
